Additional Area Info:

Dining: A local café at the Mount Robson Information Centre offers breakfast and lunch. Valemount is just 20 minutes by car and has several local owned restaurants offering great food at Caribou Grill, 3 Ranges Brew pub,  Swiss Bakery,  Funky Goat Food Truck,  Glacier Fire Pizzeria,  Summit Grill and Cranberry Lounge. If you’re touring Jasper for the day, you’ll discover many dining options.  One of our favorite restaurants is Earl’s, with a lively atmosphere and innovative food. We also recommended Fiddle River,  specializing in fish and seafood.

Shopping: Jasper has many gift stores for shopping. You’ll find many unique gifts and handcrafted items, especially in The Timberwolf Shop. Wonderful locally crafted gifts can also be found at the Infinity Shop in Valemount.

Valemount: This small village is located 35 km from the lodge on Highway 5. This is where we get our milk and mail. There are several gas stations, fast food and family-run restaurants, a grocery, a drug store and a doctor.

Jasper: We’re conveniently located 90 km west of Jasper town. We offer our guests a tranquil setting at the end of the day, away from the noise of busy places, and a unique opportunity to relax and rejuvenate. Yet we’re only an easy 1 hour drive away from Jasper and all the possibilities found there. Use our proximity to Jasper as a base for day tripping.

Salmon migration: The mighty Fraser River runs 1200 kilometres from the ocean to Mount Robson park, headwaters of this massive river. Every year from mid-august to mid-September, the salmon that were born here return after 5 – 7 years to spawn and die, carrying on the next generation. A dramatic sight of these impressive fish jumping the falls to get further up river can be witnessed from the viewing platforms at Rear Guard falls, located 10 minutes away.
